Bio

Diane Robertson, originally from Houston, Texas, is a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising, with an emphasis in Business Administration. She is a classical lyric soprano, actress, comedian (stage and television), the owner/producer of the theatre company, Sonlight Productions and is a partner of Sheridan’s Unforked Restaurant. Diane volunteers in the Silverlink Ministry within her church specializing in dementia/Alzheimers patients as well as hospice.

Diane was both a children’s-wear clothing representative at the Kansas City Apparel Mart and a showroom manager at the Kansas City Gift Mart for many years after college. She then became the Director of the Single Adult Ministry at one of the largest Methodist churches in the United States, The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection where she successfully led a group of 1200 singles for four years, including 37 marriages!  

Ready for yet another career move, Diane jumped into the theatre and opera world of Kansas City and has performed with the Civic Opera Theatre of Kansas City, the Kansas City Metro Opera, Just-Off Broadway Theatre, the MET of Kansas City, and the H&R Block City Stage in Union Station.

Diane is also an accomplished National Anthem singer for professional baseball and basketball teams, performing at such venues as Kauffman Stadium, Ameriquest Field, Kemper Arena and the Sprint Center. She made her ESPN debut in November of ’09 at the ‘’76 Classic” Basketball event in Anaheim, CA.  Diane is also a co-host of the witty family/travel television show, “Just Down the Road” with Jeremy Wood. 

Diane has participated in mission trips as ‘the singer’ to Russia, The Ukraine, Siberia, South Africa, Zambia, and Honduras. Her deep passion and calling however, is the elderly and frail with Dementia/Alzheimers Disease  around the Kansas City area. She is a trained Congregational Care Minister in her church, often singing bedside to the dying.

A book is in the works with a comedic view of her forever morphing, opportunity loaded, amusing life. Diane is married to "The Preacher" and lives in Kansas with no kids, no pets, and one purple orchid.
