Diane Robertson Singer & Actress

Sonlight Productions

Sonlight Productions was a day-dream for Diane Robertson until her husband said to her one day, “why don’t you just start your own theatre company?”  After several conversations with respected actors in Kansas City, a decision was made! Diane, a singer and performer herself, would open a Christian theatre company that employs all who are willing to present themselves professionally and show respect not only for the art of theatre itself but to other actors. With only 3 ground rules (know your part, be on time and no cussing on stage or in dressing rooms), Diane stepped into a career that she found arduous, laborious and exhausting but fulfilling. Sonlight Productions was established in 2007 as a Christian theatre organization striving to offer substantial productions using highly talented, local professionals at a level no less than excellent. Sonlight proudly stepped into the theatre scene in Kansas City in September of 2008 with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “A Grand Night for Singing.”  This was followed by the high energy, heart pumping, insane dancing show, “Altar Boys” in 2009. Both shows performed at the H&R Block City Stage in Union Station, Kansas City. A Sonlight following had begun and Diane continued to pursue productions for Sonlight  with  “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” and “Jen and John” both in 2010. Diane has several show ideas waiting to find a stage and even a beginner theatre camp for kids!
